All My Children’s Last Day with ABC…Exit Stage Left. by Vincent Irizarry on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at 3:48am
Tomorrow morning I will wake up to go to work on All My Children for the last time under ABC. It has been a wonderful, and even often times, seemingly magical ride all these years. As with all my fellow actors on the show, I don’t yet know where we’re going, but I certainly know where I’ve been. I couldn’t feel more priviledged to have traveled this journey with many of you throughout these years, nor more grateful to have had the opportunity to play such an entertaining and rewarding character such as Dr. David Hayward. The depth of my gratitude to all of you is beyond measure, therefore, I thank you all ad infinitum… Keep the faith : )

denisevasi Bittersweet feelings as I start my last day in Pine Valley! Big girls don’t cry… or @ least they try not to ?
Today marks the end of an era..the last tape date of ABC’s ALL MY CHILDREN. I started working here when I was 21 & now I’m 29! I spent the majority of my 20′s growing up here with an unbelievably talented staff, cast and crew. I have SO many wonderful memories and feel incredibly blessed to have been able to call this place my work home and the people my work family. HUGE THANK YOU to the amazing crew and cast ever! This is NOT goodbye but see you later! xoxoxo

End Of AMC’s ABC Era

Today marks the final day of taping for the cast and crew of ALL MY CHILDREN under the auspices of ABC. “It’s not doom and gloom around here,” Executive Producer Julie Hanan Carruthers told Digest recently. “People are not walking the death march. I’m sure you know, August 30, when everybody walks out of here, we’re going to go, ‘Whoa, what happened?’ But right now, nobody sees cancellation in their future [laughs].” There will be at least one honored guest present to bear witness to history; reports Julia Barr (Brooke), “Alexa Havins [Babe] is bringing the baby [one-year-old Lexington, with husband Justin Bruening, Jamie] in so we can all give her a kiss and a squeeze. It’s hard to be sad when there’s a baby around!”
CarolynHinsey Word from the AMC set on last day of filming: “Looks like they’re really pulling the plug.” Such a travesty!
