‘All My Children’ Actress to Star in Hallmark Mini ‘Love’s Christmas Journey’ (Exclusive). As reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
The actress, who has played Colby Chandler on the long-running ABC soap opera, has booked the lead in the Hallmark miniseries Love’s Christmas Journey.
In the two-hour, two-part miniseries, slated to air in November, Hall will play Ellie King, a young pioneer woman who has suffered the loss of her husband and daughter.

June 27 is the first day AMC Head Writer Lorraine Broderick‘s material will hit the air, a show rep confirms. Show Creator Agnes Nixon will work closely with Broderick to map out the final months of storytelling for the show, which is slated for a September finale.
Sorry for the lack of information lately. All of this had just become to much and I really didn’t want to run around posting this rumor and that rumor. Actually like many of you I just wanted to wake up and hope this was all a nightmare. No such luck, woke up and found it was no Cinderella story I was living in. So finally I decided to pick up my boot straps and get back to what I love my “Daytime Soaps”!

In 1970 I became the luckiest woman on earth, when Agnes Nixon gave me the role of Erica Kane on “All My Children.” The show and the character has become an indelible part of my life and my heart.
Words cannot truly express how devastated I am to have learned this morning, that “All My Children” will be coming to an end. I have spent my adult life playing this role, getting to say and do all the amazing things that Erica has said and done. I have acquired the most meaningful collection of life memories any actress and woman could ever have. Throughout the years, the “All My Children” family of cast, staff and crew have become so near and dear to me and my own family.
My Dear Friends,
As you can imagine, it is with a heavy heart that I come to you today to confirm the death of two of my friends: One Life to Live and All My Children. Like you, I am devastated by the announcement that came yesterday about the cancelation of these wonderful shows. I am a lifelong fan of each of them and have had the privilege of working behind the scenes with fans of both shows since long before assuming the position of Official Fan Club President.
Reality producer J.D. Roth had a hunch that ABC was close to picking up his new daytime series The Revolution. But Roth says he had no idea until Thursday morning that his greenlight would come at the expense of two soap opera staples.
Thursday’s ABC soapocalypse left daytime fans reeling, as the network pulled the plug on 43-year-old One Life to Live and 41-year-old All My Children. Roth, whose new show will take the place of OLTL in January, says he first brought The Revolution to ABC more than a year ago.

Despite what ABC claims were their best efforts to tell the cast and crew of “All My Children” and “One Life to Live,” some of the actors and crew of the two canceled soap operas say they felt blindsided by the cancellation of the long running daytime dramas on Thursday.
UPDATE: ABC came out with an official statement today (Thursday April 14th 2011) ‘All My Children’ IS being canceled as of September 2011 and being replaced with ‘The Chew’. We still have time to FIGHT!HERE and pass it around to everyone you know and have them sign it too. Another thing we are doing in our fight to save our beloved show is by sending in old T-Shirts to the along with a short note saying adding we are also trying to give back wile getting our point across and adding for them to please donate all old shirts the receive to The Salvation Army.
