Lee Meriwether makes Internet radio appearance

Catwoman made a stopover in the Queen City this week.

No, not Anne Hathaway, who is slated to play Batman’s nemesis in the upcoming film “The Dark Knight Rises” (which recently filmed scenes in Newark ). Not Michelle Pfeiffer, who played the fictional feline fiend in director Tim Burton’s “Batman Returns.” It was the original: Lee Meriwether, who starred in

the 1966 film version of “Batman,” who swung by the North Avenue home of BKS1radio.com in Plainfield for an interview with Monique Donyale of Piscataway.

“Definitely my favorite Catwoman,” said Norman Bradley, CEO of Best Kept Secrets Entertainment, which owns and operates the popular Internet radio station. “This was huge for us.”

Meriwether was in New Jersey to join several other past stars of the original “Batman” film and television series in taking part in the NJ Comic Expo at the Teaneck Armor.
